Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympics

Brisbane, Australia. First host chosen through the new targeted dialogue process

Overview

Brisbane was confirmed in 2021, the first host selected under the IOC flexible dialogue procedure rather than an open bid contest. Australia hosts for the third time after Melbourne 1956 and Sydney 2000. The plan spreads venues across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with a redeveloped riverside precinct anchoring the ceremonies.
