Overview

Roughly 1,000 athletes from about 70 nations gathered over ten days in the Tyrol. The festival reused the famous venues of the 1964 and 1976 Olympic Winter Games. Innsbruck thus became the first city to stage three Olympic winter festivals, two full Games and one youth edition.
